Meet Mrs. Klamm
TWENTY-FOUR YEARS OF TEACHING AND LOVING IT!!
I am proud to begin my twenty-fourth year of teaching this school year! Where have the past twenty-three years gone...wow! I have learned a great deal over the last twenty-three years and I know I have a great many things to learn. The students that I have worked with over the years have both inspired and challenged me to be a better teacher. I know that year six at Bellevue Elementary is going to offer new challenges and exciting opportunities! I look forward to the year and all that it will offer!
I am a life-long learner! I earned my Master of Science degree in Curriculum Instruction and Technology and my Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Early Childhood. I have earned hours beyond my Master's degree focusing on educational leadership, innovative technology, and student motivation. I embrace learning opportunities that will help to better my teaching efforts. I continue to take classes and workshops to keep up with current educational findings, technology trends, and best practices.
I have a fun-loving and energetic family! We are always on the go! I have a husband named Chris and two boys named Mark and Jeremy. Mark will begin his second year of college this fall at the University of Nebraska Omaha studying Emergency Management emphasizing in fire fighting. Jeremy is going to be a freshman at the University of Nebraska Lincoln where he will study Nutrition and Sports Medicine! Minnie and Maverick are our two dogs that bring us lots of fun!!
I have all kinds of interests! With two boys I have become quite a sports spectator and enthusiast. I enjoy watching my kids play in their various sports in addition to watching college football (not a Husker fan though...Go Michigan!!), pro football (Go Broncos!!), college ice hockey (Go Mav's!!), and Pro baseball (Go Twins!!). I love to travel, scrapbook, garden, and read in my free time. My favorite things to eat are chips and salsa, popcorn, and most importantly M&M's!!! My favorite color is red.
I love to teach and I am very passionate about my profession! The learning environment in my classroom is a comfortable place for students of all cultures. It is a place where learning, interpersonal communication, mutual respect, and self esteem are key features. Students are encouraged to think critically and creatively. Through differentiation strategies and collaborative efforts, individual student learning needs are met. Most importantly my classroom is a place where learning happens and failure is not an option!
